Tampnet has been awarded a contract to supply 4G/LTE coverage to Ørsted’s offshore windfarm, Hornsea One. The windfarm is located 120km off the Yorkshire Coast, in the UK, and will be the world’s largest offshore windfarm when fully operational in 2020.
Russian Railways (RZD) has ordered 13 high-speed Velaro RUS trains from Siemens Mobility and Ural Locomotives, a joint venture of the Sinara Group and Siemens AG. The order has a volume of around €1.1 billion. The contract also includes maintenance of the trains for a period of 30 years.
Bechtel and joint-venture partner ENKA have completed the construction of Kosovo Motorway Route 6, a 40-mile (65-kilometers), four-lane motorway that stretches from the country’s capital, Pristina, to North Macedonia.
Senvion has successfully completed the first installation of the new 2.3M130 turbine in Gujarat, India. With a rotor diameter of 130 metres, it is one of the largest turbines ever installed in India. Its installed capacity of 2.3 MW will provide electricity to over 1,500 Indian households.
The last of 84 offshore wind turbines was commissioned on 15th May 2019 at Beatrice, Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm, which has been completed on time and under budget after three years of construction.
